Matthew Higgins
Founder & Principal Advisor
Matthew Higgins, BSN, RN, MBA brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare strategy, operations, and advisory services. He has worked with leading health systems, academic medical centers, and emerging healthcare companies across the country.
Prior to founding Higgins Healthcare Advisors, Matthew held senior leadership roles at national consulting firms and served as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives navigating some of the industry's most complex challenges.
Matthew is a trusted healthcare leader with deep experience leading operational, clinical, and financial performance across patient access, revenue cycle, medical staffing, provider relations, physician peer review, and large-scale organizational transformation. As a registered nurse, Matthew combines clinical expertise with a strong business foundation, enabling him to bridge the gap between patient care and operational excellence. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Further strengthening his financial and strategic acumen, Matthew has earned a Certificate in Finance & Accounting from Harvard University, providing advanced expertise in financial analysis, business performance, and value-based decision-making. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale initiatives focused on operational efficiency, workforce development, patient experience, and sustainable growth across healthcare organizations
